The staff at Supreme Modular Homes of NJ would like to say Thank You to the many dedicated men and woman working on the Freedom Tower in NY.  The new building is an American symbol and stands for pride, determination and dedication of the United States of America.  We are very grateful for all those who contributed countless hours with emergency, clean-up and rebuilding efforts.

As with the destruction left in Sandy’s wake, rebuilding efforts are now well under way and will in time be completed for stronger, better communities.

Wow, what a view!

As we all sit with our family and friends this holiday season, please keep those affected by Hurricane Sandy in your thoughts and prayers.  Hurricane Sandy was truly a tragic event and has caused major losses for thousands of families across the North East.  I am hearing stories of families that have experienced total loss of homes, materials memories and tragically loss of life.  Now displaced, families are to wait out the process as we begin to rebuild.  The process of rebuilding will not happen overnight, it will take time for the recovery efforts to make major inroads on the devastation caused by the storm.  The best we can do is all work together and remember when we tire, when we fee like giving up, to stop and realize that we are all in this together and that part of what makes our country great is that we do not give up.

The team just completed a complicated modular home set in NJ.  Careful planning went in to this set due to the complications with the lot size, overhead wires, box sizes and lot conditions.  I am proud to say, because of the on-site evaluations and through planning the set was a success for both the company and most importantly the customer.

Two months from today, where the Supreme Modular project management team visited the lot, performed numerous calculations and determined that we had the ability to do a standard set with no more than one foot to spare.  Now close your eyes and imagine this, you are dealing with over 2000 square feet of home, shared across multiple boxes , a home site with trees, power lines, roads and a recently finished foundation which all must be considered.  You now receive your report that concludes you have no more than one foot additional to plan with.

Determination, persistent planning and unwavering confidence in the team’s ability allowed the decision to proceed with the set as planned.  Supreme Modular was going to ensure that the customer was able to build their dream Modular Home and settle for nothing less.

A modular home is unique because it is built in a climate-controlled factory. Building in this way reduces time under construction, project cost and the chances of weather related delays or problems. When coupled with the fact that building supplies are stored in on-site warehouses, it also virtually eliminates the chance that wet materials will be used when building the modular home.

The Southern Pine Inspection Bureau reported in August 2001 that “most mold…which are observed on lumber…can normally be attributed to the transportation, storage and construction stages.” Keeping an Eye on Mold, Kent J. The fact that modular homes are constructed in a controlled factory environment eliminates the possibility that lumber with mold will be used in the home.
